LYNDA EDMUNDS
Lynda's grade-eleven maths teacher told her she could talk underwater and should work in radio! A few weeks later, Lynda was part of a community radio show before school. Lynda juggled various on-air shifts with uni, which at times resulted in snoring through lectures. When Lynda graduated, she taught high school Drama and English for a few years before landing her first commercial radio gig in 2004.
SARAH WEIR
Sarah is a born and bred Cairns girl and thought, “What the heck, why not,” when she top scored with Journalism during a high school career test.
She has a collection of stress balls and got her first one when she was at uni. It came in handy when she was juggling her studies with a gig on community radio and a casual position at channel 7.
Sarah’s been with Prime Radio since 2008.
NICKY FISHER
Nicky's first on-air stint was at 15, in a radio play about wagging school. After repeating Year 12, due to wagging school, she studied journalism at uni. Nicky escaped from her newspaper job in 2000 and has since been in radio. She was born in QLD but has moved 16 times (''they'll never catch me!"), including two miserable years in the UK. Nicky's been on the coast since 2005
