It's all about supporting locals and eating local seafood
I reckon we're bucking the trend here in our region.
They say 78% of the seafood we eat in this country is from overseas (which is disgusting on the biggest island on the planet!) but here in our region, local people have been supporting the struggling seafood industry with a bumper Easter and terrific local sales from Bowen to St Lawrence
From banana prawns for $18.99 a kilo to barra, mudcrabs, whiting and all the other brilliant local product, we are supporting this criucial industry
