Recent rainfall has seen the local fire ban for Mackay Local Government Area lifted by the Queensland Fire Department.
The ban will remain in place for the Whitsunday Local Government Area however.
A prohibition on lighting fires in the open has been extended until November 24, due to ongoing fire conditions in the area.
