Thief Nicks Car After Driver Left Door Unlocked And Keys In Glove Box
The luckiest car thief in our district was walking the pavements in Kemp Street, Bucasia at 10.30pm on Wednesday when they found an unlocked car with the spare keys still in the glove box.
The keys were used to steal the car from where it was parked in the driveway of a residential address.
The stolen car is a silver 2007 model Mitsubishi 380 sedan, registration number 881 KQR.
If you know the current location of the stolen car, or have information about the offence itself we encourage you to contact police as soon as possible.
Police have noticed that car thieves have recently been fortunate to have more soft opportunities to steal cars. For example, car keys being left in the ignition, or inside of unattended cars at any time of the day.
From a car thief’s perspective this kind of opportunity is never ignored – any car found in this state will be stolen.
If you witness any suspicious activity at any time of the day, we strongly encourage you to report the matter to police as soon as possible.
