Counterfeit Cash Used In Airlie

AUD

Police are trying to track down a young man accused of using counterfeit cash to buy something at Airlie Beach a couple of days ago.

At about 2.42pm on Sunday, he entered a business on Shute Harbour Road and handed a $100 note to staff while purchasing a hat.

This note was later scrutinised by staff and suspected as being counterfeit.

Whitsunday police were contacted and went to the business.
