Showers And Storms Over Mackay
Heavy rainfall and possible thunderstorms will sweep across the state in the coming days.
South east Queenslanders can expect to see widespread rain starting on Friday and continuing through the weekend. There could be heavy falls in SEQ on Saturday.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Jess Gardner said rainfall amounts will be highly variable.
A surface trough currently stretches out from Mackay bringing showers and storms.
The BOM also said onshore winds are building cloud against an inland trough.

Showers are also expected around Bundaberg. Ms Gardner said "many people can expect five and 10 millimetres, with isolated totals of 15 to 30 mm and heavier showers and storms on Friday".
