Car Taken From Carport, Richmond
UPDATE | A car taken from the carport of a home in Richmond on Monday, has been located.
It was found on Maraju-Yakapari Road in Dumbleton at about 6:00PM on Monday.
The vehicle was not damaged and the owner is aware of its location.
EARLIER | A car has been stolen from the carport of a home on Polly Crescent, Richmond between 10pm on January 12 and 5.28am on Monday morning.
The stolen car is a white coloured 2017 model Mitsubishi eclipse cross, with registration number 120 YBN.
At the time of its theft, the car was unlocked and the keys were in the cabin.
A second car parked at the address was also entered and searched by the thief, and a wallet and its contents including bank cards and identification were stolen from the interior.
Anyone who has information about the current location of the stolen car or the offence itself is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible.
There is no situation more rewarding for a thief than to find an unattended vehicle which is not locked and with car keys present.
They will never walk away from that opportunity.
Police encourage every vehicle owner to avoid this situation, even if you are leaving your vehicle unattended for a short time only.
