A 30-year-old man who tested positive to coronavirus has died in Blackwater in Central Queensland, raising the state death toll to seven.

His partner came home from work Tuesday afternoon at around 4.30, and found him unresponsive.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said his partner is believed to be infected too.

"He tested positive at the post-mortum and his partner is now sick with symptoms," Ms Palaszczuk said.

"She has been transferred to the Rockhampton hospital where she is being isolated and further tests are being done."

Police and paramedics who attended the couple's home are now in quarantine.
