Drug and burglary charges, North Mackay
Three people have been charged following investigations into a burglary.
On July 1 at 2:30pm officers from the Mackay Tactical Crime squad and the Mackay police station executed a search warrant at an address on Harbour Road in North Mackay.
It is alleged that during the course of the search warrant being executed officers located a large bag underneath the house containing steroids.
It is further alleged that a smaller amount of steroids, cannabis and drug utensils were found inside the home.
It will also be alleged that four mobile phones and eight items of jewellery stolen during the course of an home break in at an address in Rural View in early April were found in the home.
A 43-year-old male resident of North Mackay has been arrested and charged with 10 counts of unlawfully possessing a dangerous drug, unlawfully possessing drug utensils and three counts of unlawfully possessing restricted drugs.
He will appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court later this morning to have the matters heard.
A 27-year-old male resident of Eimeo was also served with a notice to appear in the Mackay magistrates court on September 2, to have the charge of entering a premises with intent to commit an indictable offence heard.
In addition, an 18-year-old woman from Sarina was served with a notice to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on September 16 to have the charge of burglary and committing an indictable offence heard.
