High range drink driver, Moranbah
A 23-year-old Cannonvale man has been arrested and charged following an intercept by Moranbah Police on Moranbah Access Road, Moranbah.
On Sunday, July 5 at 1.24am, police from Moranbah intercepted the vehicle for the purpose of a roadside breath test (RBT).
Police allege that the driver was required to provide a specimen of breath which provided a positive result.
The driver was thereafter taken to Moranbah Police Station where the man allegedly provided a reading of 0.178 per cent blood alcohol content (BAC) at the breath analysing section – more than three times over the legal limit.
The mans drivers licence was immediately suspended and he will appear in the Moranbah Magistrates Court on July 30, in relation to this matter.
The man was also charged with displaying false number plates on his vehicle.
