Mixed new in the regions new building approvals
Queensland's regional dwelling approvals for July have delivered mixed news for the state’s building industry.
Latest figures show new houses are up 17.2 per cent over the month but regional numbers painted a varied picture.
Master Builders Deputy CEO Paul Bidwell said Mackay and the Whitsunday had suffered a bad month with new home approvals.
"For July housing approvals are down seven per cent," he said.
But it is believed there is still pleanty of work filtering through the region accoridng to Mr Bidwell.
