Business owners have been left devastated after being targeted by thieves who ram raided four shops and smashed windows in North Mackay.

CCTV footage has captured two people using a white sedan to violently crash into the roller door at a store on Trade Court, in Mount Pleasant, just after midnight on Sunday.

Police say they then used bricks to shatter windows to get inside, but it's unknown if anything was stolen.

A couple of hours later, the pair used the same car to ram raid another business on the same street.

After failing to get inside, they tried to smash through two windows, before another attempt at ramming the back door.

This time, they caused enough damage to break-in. An alarm went off and the was spotted sprinting back to the car.

At 4:40am, they drove into the front of another business on Evans Avenue, in North Mackay.

Video shows them jumping through broken glass and stealing cigarettes before fleeing.

About 15 minutes later, they jumped out of a vehicle parked in front of a store on Oak Street, in Andergrove, and smashed through the glass doors.

A staff member managed to scare them off.

Investigators are calling on anyone who may have any information about the CCTV footage or who may have dashcam footage to contact police.
