Dog bite leaves young woman in hospital

A young woman has been taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog in Mackay.

Emergency crews were called to Bedford Road in Andergrove at 8.39pm on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance says a woman in her 20s had sustained an arm injury.

She was taken to Mackay Hospital in a stable condition.
