A shed has gone up in flames during an early morning blaze in the Mackay region.

Four fire crews rushed to West Plane Creek Road at Sarina just before 3am.

A spokesperson for Queensland Fire and Emergency Service says the blaze was extinguished about an hour and a half later at 4.30am.

Paramedics were also on scene.
