Sydney man charged over pedestrian's death
A man has been charged with negligent driving over the death of a pedestrian in inner Sydney earlier this year.
A 61-year-old man was crossing Sussex St in Haymarket about 3.40am on March 24 when he was struck by a hatchback.
He suffered head injuries and died in hospital three weeks later.
Police on Friday served a 48-year-old Ramsgate Beach man with a notice to attend court to face a charge of negligent driving occasioning death.
He is due to face the Downing Centre Local Court on November 27.
