Relay for Life was filled with emotion on Saturday
Cancer is one word that affects so many of us.
We all know someone who has been affected by it. Some have passed away. Some are battling now with cancer.
My Mum passed away in May this year with cancer and Saturday was a day to come together, reflect, remember and raise funds to get rid of cancer once and for all.
The annual Mackay Pioneer Valley Relay for Life was on at the Botanic Gardens and it was great. Nearly 300 people joined the evening to help each other.
This year we lost of face of Relay Chrish Auguston in January, but Candace and her family were their to share the night and tell us about the journey Chris travelled.
I can't wait for next year. Hope you can join us.
