Investigations are ongoing into several additional complaints.

Officer in Charge of Mackay Whitsundays District Highway Patrol, Senior Sergeant Shane Edwards, said this type of anti-social and dangerous behaviour has no place on our roads.

“Tragically, we have already lost 19 lives on our roads this year, and we are committed to taking strong action to prevent further tragedies,” said Senior Sergeant Edwards.

“We would like to extend our gratitude to the members of the public who have assisted police with their investigations. Your cooperation is invaluable in helping us keep our roads safe for everyone.”
