A shooting is under investigation in Mackay this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a serious assault on Park Street at 4.20am.
Upon arrival, police located one man with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

He was rushed to Mackay Base Hospital in a serious condition.
The alleged offenders ran away from the scene and police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage to come forward to assist in identifying those involved.
Investigations are ongoing.
