A woman has been charged over a break in at Slade Point.
The alleged incident happened around 6.45pm, when the 33-year-old allegedly entered a Pacific Esplanade residence through an unlocked sliding door and stole jewellery.
She was caught in the act and tried to flee the area before police arrived, but was arrested a short time later.

The woman has been charged with entering a dwelling and committing an indicatable offence and will face the Mackay Magistrates Court today.
