Around $50,000 worth of stolen jewellery has been recovered by police in Mackay.
A 21-year-old woman has been charged over the matter and is accused of multiple break and enters across Mackay throughout September.
One alleged incident saw the woman break into a 92-year-old woman’s home and steal a large amount of cash and jewellery on September 16.
On September 18, police executed a search warrant at a Bridge Road address and recovered around $50,000 worth of jewellery.
The West Mackay woman has been charged with 17 offences, including break and enter, theft, fraud and possession of dangerous drugs.
She is due to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court.
Police are appealing for any information from the public as a number of expensive rings and a large sum of cash still remains outstanding.
Investigations are ongoing.
