Blackouts have impacted thousands of Mackay and Whitsunday locals this morning.
Nearly 1,000 homes are being affected in Andromache, Bloomsbury, Crystal Brook, Laguna Quays, Lethebrook, Midge Point, Proserpine and Thoopara.
A separate outage has cut power to 850 residents in Benholme, Mia Mia, Mirani, Mount Martin, Mount Ossa, Pinevale and Septimus.

Earlier this morning, a blackout impacted more than six-thousand homes around Bowen, Binbee, Brisk Bay, Collinsville, Delta, Merinda and Wilsonton Heights.
