A man has been hospitalised after a car crashed two metres down an embankment off the Bruce Highway between Proserpine and Bowen.
The crash happened around 5.45 this morning at Gregory River – forcing the highway to close.
Paramedics have taken the man to Proserpine Hospital in a stable condition.

The highway has since reopened.
