Seventeen new officers have been added to the region’s police force in a bid to keep our community safe.
The first year constables were welcomed to the Mackay Whitsunday District yesterday.
Their induction included introductions from Acting City Patrol Inspector, Jeremy Novosel, and Detective Inspector Emma Novosel.
“The inspectors gave some great advice and a warm Mackay welcome to the first year constable’s,” a police spokesperson says.
“We wish them the best of luck and are looking forward to seeing them make a positive impact in our community.”
The state government plans to roll out more than two-thousand new officers in Queensland over the next five years.
