A man has died in hospital following a serious skydiving accident north of Mackay.
The incident happened on April 16, when solo skydiver Douglas Ball suffered a hard landing.
Authorities say his parachute did deploy, but he landed hard after having difficulties while close to the ground.

The 53-year-old was initially flown to Mackay Base Hospital, later being transferred to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane for further treatment.
It’s understood he died from his injuries on Saturday.
