A business has been broken into and two cars have been reported stolen in Proserpine.
Investigations are ongoing into the incident, which happened on Main Street between around 11:07 and 11:55pm on Sunday.
Police say an implement was used to force open a locked door to a workshop.
The intruders searched the workshop and a nearby office, finding multiple keys.
A silver 2006 Holden commodore sedan with the registration number 155 LFM and a silver 2014 Jeep patriot with the registration number 138 WCX, were both taken from the location.
A Ford falcon sedan was also driven at the business, but then quickly returned and parked because it had very low fuel.
Anyone who might have information about the current location of the stolen cars or the actual offence itself are being urged to contact police as soon as possible.
Police are encouraging business owners to take steps to secure customer and business car keys in out of sight locations.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity is asked to report the matter as soon as possible.
